Most people try to avoid smelling like cigars. Ironically, Cigar ($20)by Remy Latour is one way to do it. With notes of sandalwood and patchouli, you can easily cover up the evidence of a Saturday spent in your favorite shop.
See those two things beneath the TV? No not that TV, the other TV. No, not the computer monitor. They're above the microwave. Those are humidors, making this, indeed, the ultimate Man Wall ($15,000!). Throw in a leather recliner, and you are set.
Need something educational in your man cave? Check out this chart ($5) that covers just about everything you need to know about cigars. Suitable for framing, we imagine.
The Evil ($5) by Gurkha is a bold new addition to the already outstanding, and extensive, Gurkha lineup. With its Brazilian wrapper, Dominican binder and Nicaraguan filler, the Evil is a complex cigar with a nice price.
Suave is a bold claim, but the Nat Sherman Suave ($7), with its creamy Connecticut wrapper and slight sweetness, may just live up to it's name. It also comes in one of the most beautiful boxes we've ever seen. Try snagging an empty from your local shop if you can.
Good cigars don't have to cost a lot and the World Selection Series from Te-Amo ($4) is a great example of that. Featuring four different blends in a variety of shapes and sizes, you'll be sure to find one that fits your tastes. Their latest, the Cuban blend uses a Criollo filler.
While moisture and electronics don't usually work too well together, Jefferey Stephenson managed to combine the two in his humidor server. Keep both your cigars and you data at optimal humidity.
If you're down south between Atlanta and Charlotte, stop by The Cigar Box in Columbia, SC. It's not the biggest or oldest shop in the world, but they have an excellent selection and plenty of leather chairs. They're also one of the only places in the city where people are free to smoke indoors, as Columbia was subject recently to a draconian smoking ban. Stop in for a smoke and escape the looming southern sun. (Editor's note: If you have a shop you'd like featured on the site, contact us using the link at the top of the page.)
There's full bodied cigars, and then there's the Gurkha G3 ($10). Made with Nicaraguan ligero and a bit of Cameroon in the wrapper, this cigar is not for the timid, empty-stomached or, well, anyone who isn't presently nestled into a big, soft chair.
We're not sure how many cigars the average Swiss soldier smokes, but if this knife ($50) is part of their standard issue kit, it might be a lot, and we might consider enlisting. It features the standard blade, scissors and file of most Swiss Army knives, but it also has three laser sharpened hole punches.
The Great Smoke ($150) is back for 2009 on Feb. 21. Held in West Palm Beach, FL this one day events features forty premium cigar brands, food, drink, massages and a lot more. Definitely worth a trip to Florida.
The floor ashtray ($75) from Stinky Cigar is not only a piece of great design (for an ashtray), but is one of the more functional and practical ashtrays we've seen. Featuring a deep bowl and wide stirrups, it will accommodate and protect just about any size cigar. A great addition to man caves and shops alike.
Another new cigar from Don Pepin, Los Imperialistas ($7) feature a Cuban-seed Nicaraguan wrapper. Even though it is new, this smoke feels like an old, old brand. Chalk that up to the expertise of Pepin.
